Current Center Activities
Solapur Vipassana Meditation Centre had started giving 10 day courses since July 2019. The centre has completed many 10 day courses, both male and female. Many students are taking the benefit of Vipassana as taught by our Pujya Guruji.
Presently we have 36 fully functional rooms, a semi permanent Dhamma Hall and new permanent Dhamma hall with capacity of 180 students, a Mini Dhamma hall. Permanent Dining Hall and kitchen is functional, dining has separate male and female wings and AT dining. Teachers Residence is there, now a new female teachers residence is near completion. For storage 2 rooms with storage facility as Store Rooms for male and female students material.
In all 5 acres of land with facilities for rain & natural water storage of approximately 30 lac liters, 3 borewells, 1 open well, RO water filtration plant and 30,000 Sq feet Miyaviki dense forest with about 4000 trees are maintained at the centre. Hot water for bathing is available, There is a Solar Power System of 10kW. Presently dhobi seva is not available.
A special transformer meant for the electricity supply of the centre has been erected and due to that now the power supply is regular. Facility of inverter is available for Dhamma Hall.
A total of 26,000 sq ft of built-up area has been developed till date.
Development work towards Phase-II Completion has been planned. For this following requirements are there :
